Join our export projects
We have six projects approved for the EU financing and we invite food companies to join our projects for Japan, South Korea, USA, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, United Arab Emirates, UK and internal EU markets:
1. Development of export to China, Japan and South Korea. Duration of the project is 36 months. The project is approved and has started on May 1, 2020.
The project has a balanced set of actions mostly attributed to business auditory: importers, wholesalers and retailers. Participation in target market food fairs, B2B meetings, events for professionals and on-line activities are planned to make, expand and maintain good business relationships. However, a set of activities to help distributors with making first steps in the market and directed to consumers (on-line advertising, events for consumers, tastings and information displays at POS) are also foreseen.
The overall budget of the project is 4,709,708 Eur. Financial aid: 80% of all expenses.
The project was completed on April 30, 2023.
The project has been approved for the extended period of three years with similar activities for Japan and South Korea. The budget for the continuation of the project is 2,459,544 EUR. The project has started on January 1, 2024.
2. Development of export to USA. Duration of the project is 36 months. The project is approved and has started on January 1, 2021.
The projects will include participation in target market food fairs, B2B meetings, events for professionals and on-line activities, events for consumers, tastings and information displays at POS.
The budget of the project is 3,950,050 Eur. Financial aid: 80% of all expenses.
The project was competed on December 31, 2023.
The project has been approved for the extended period of three years with similar activities and the budget of 3,990,412 EUR. The new project for USA started on February 1, 2024.
3. Development of export to Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Duration of the project is 36 months. The project is approved and has started on January 1, 2021.
The projects will include participation in target market food fairs, B2B meetings, events for professionals and on-line activities, events for consumers, tastings and information displays at POS.
The budget of the project is 2,994,080 Eur. Financial aid: 80% of all expenses.
4. Development of export to the UAE. Duration of the project is 36 months. The project is approved and has started on January 1, 2023.
The projects will include participation in target market food fairs, presentations in restaurants for professional, B2B meetings, events for professionals and on-line activities, including website and social media, events for consumers, tastings, shelf talkers and information displays at POS.
The budget of the project is 1,998,246 Eur. Financial aid: 80% of all expenses.
5. Development of export to Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria and Poland. Duration of the project is 36 months. The project is approved and has started on March 1, 2023.
The projects will include participation in target market food fairs, presentations in restaurants for professional, B2B meetings, events for professionals and on-line activities including website and social media, events for consumers, tastings, shelf talkers and information displays at POS.
The budget of the project is 3,294,744 Eur. Financial aid: 80% of all expenses.
6. Development of export to the UK. Duration of the project is 36 months. The project is approved and has started on April 1, 2023.
The projects will include participation in target market food fairs, presentations in restaurants for professional, B2B meetings, events for professionals and on-line activities, events for consumers, tastings, shelf talkers and information displays at POS.
The budget of the project is 3,988,076 Eur. Financial aid: 80% of all expenses.
Expenses for compensation: fair fees and stand construction cost, plane tickets, hotels, support staff, transportation of samples, agency fees, on-line promotion fees, payments for tastings (including supermarket fees), place rent for promotional events, administration of the project, etc.

Europe Shares
The programme “Europe Shares” is jointly proposed by Lithuanian organisation Baltic Gastronomy Leaders and The Bulgarian Winemaking & Export Association. Target markets of the programme are China, Japan and South Korea. Duration of the programme is 36 months.
The main idea of the programme is to provide professionals and inhabitants of the target markets with European ingredients and to teach them making European dishes. The programme is a balanced set of actions mostly attributed to business auditory: importers, wholesalers and retailers. Participation in target market food fairs, B2B meetings, events for professionals and on-line activities are planned to make, expand and maintain good business relationships. However, a set of activities to help distributors with making first steps in the market and directed to consumers (on-line advertising, events for consumers, tastings and information displays at POS) are also foreseen.
The main messages of the programme will be about EU organic scheme, PDO and PGI scheme and generic EU quality and safety mechanisms. It will be illustrated by a basket of products, including wines from Bulgaria and diary, spirits, bakery, fruits and vegetables, grain products and other food from Lithuania
The main expected impact of the programme is to increase food (the basket foreseen) export from Lithuania and Bulgaria to target markets. The overall budget of the programme is 4,709,708 Eur. European Union will compensate 80% of project expenses.

From Europe with Love
The programme “From Europe with Love” is jointly proposed by Lithuanian organisation Baltic Gastronomy Leaders and The Bulgarian Winemaking & Export Association. Target market of the programme is USA. Duration of the programme is 36 months.
The main idea of the programme is to strengthen positive emotional ties of USA inhabitants with EU and its food. Since the exporters of proposing countries are quite active in target markets the programme is a balanced set of actions mostly attributed to consumer auditory: on-line advertising, tastings and information displays at POS, promotion out of POS. However, a set of activities with aim to expand distribution network and directed to business auditory (importers, wholesalers and retailers) are also foreseen: participation in target market food fairs, B2B meetings, events for professionals and on-line activities.

Be Together
The programme “Be Together” is jointly proposed by Lithuanian organisation Baltic Gastronomy Leaders and The Bulgarian Winemaking & Export Association. Target market of the programme is the UK. Duration of the programme is 36 months.
The Programme strategy aims to maintain commonly created values in agri-food sector, enhance the competitiveness of the EU agri-food sector in order to increase exports and retain the market share of the EU food and beverage products in the United Kingdom (UK) which after Brexit became a “third country” from the EU perspective.
Target groups of the programme - final consumers and food trade professionals. The programme includes a wide range of measures: from press, online channels, activities directly addressed to consumers (tastings, shelf talkers, displays), activities directly addressed to B2B actions (trade fairs, events for professionals, B2B trade visits).
The main expected impact of the programme is to increase food (the basket foreseen) export from Lithuania and Bulgaria to target market and to improve consumer awareness on EU quality systems. The overall budget of the programme is 3.988.076 EUR. European Union will compensate 80% of project expenses.

Welcome to European Food Oasis
The programme “Europe Shares” is jointly proposed by Lithuanian organisation Baltic Gastronomy Leaders and The Bulgarian Winemaking & Export Association. Target market of the programme is United Arab Emirates. Duration of the programme is 36 months.
The Programme strategy aims to enhance the competitiveness of the EU agri-food sector and to increase exports of the EU food and beverage products to the United Arab Emirates (the UAE) that is one of the strongest economies in the Middle East, regional trading and tourism hub.
Programme’s target groups - final consumers and food trade professionals. Programme strives to boost demand for the EU agri-food production among the UAE consumers by promoting the EU produced agri-food products in terms of: quality and safety (EU food products comply with strict standards and controls, and are traceable from farm to fork); authenticity (EU food products are authentic and benefit from protected designations of origin or geographical indications); sustainability – EU pushes for more sustainable agricultural practices with special emphasis on organic production.

Take care – choose fair
The programme “Europe Shares” is jointly proposed by Lithuanian organisation Baltic Gastronomy Leaders and The Bulgarian Winemaking & Export Association. Target markets of the programme are Lithuania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Estonia, Poland. Duration of the programme is 36 months.
The Programme aims to encourage consumers to consider our future when choosing food – planet well-being, people health, European food history and traditions. It seeks to enhance the competitiveness and to improve trust in quality of the EU agri-food sector in the internal market through increasing awareness on sustainability of EU food production, the EU organic production methods and the EU quality schemes.
Programme strives to boost consumption of the EU agrifood production among the selected internal market consumers by promoting the EU products in terms of: balanced nutrition and quality; authenticity and sustainability. To achieve the objectives Programme employs a wide range of activities: from mass media and online channels (press, website, online ads), activities directly addressed to consumers (tastings, displays, trade fairs), to B2B actions (presentations, events for professionals, B2B trade visits).
The overall budget of the programme is 3,294,744 EUR. European Union will compensate 80% of project expenses.
